Whitney “Lacey” Higginbotham, Esq. practices in our North Myrtle Beach office. Lacey is committed to smooth, easy, and efficient commercial and residential real estate transactions with a passion for helping individuals and families secure their financial future.
Lacey is a proud Chanticleer and graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2015 with a degree in Political Science, and a minor in Pre-Law. Upon graduation, Lacey gained a passion for the law as a paralegal in North Myrtle Beach. In May of 2020 Lacey earned a Juris Doctor (JD) from the Charleston School of Law and has since been committed to assisting clients in navigating the intricate legal landscape of real estate, business law, and legacy planning.
Upon returning to Horry County, Lacey found her passion in real estate and transactional law. She joined Grand Strand Law Group in 2021, and was named Junior Partner in 2023. Lacey loves being able to contribute her legal knowledge to the firm in addition to being a role model and mentor for the younger attorney’s and staff. As a Horry County native, Lacey loves seeing and assisting the development of the Grand Strand, and sharing her love for Horry County with each buyer that steps in the office. As the daughter of small business owners, she loves helping small businesses stay in Horry County, and assisting clients by finding the best legal solutions possible.
Outside of the office, Lacey is actively involved in the local community and is known for her commitment to educating individuals and families about the importance of Estate Planning. She has conducted numerous seminars and workshops to help people gain a better understanding of the intricacies of estate and real estate law.
In addition to being an advocate for her clients, Lacey takes pride in being the “cool aunt”, enjoys spending time with her family, her fur baby Nola, and volunteering with her church, Springfield Baptist in Loris, SC. Combining her passion for law, business, real estate, and philanthropy, Lacey feels she has truly found her calling and can’t wait to help her clients with all of their real estate, estate planning, and transactional needs.
