Health Care Power of Attorney

A Health Care Power of Attorney names someone you trust to ensure that your medical treatment wishes are granted. The health care agent is authorized to communicate with medical professionals regarding what types of treatment you approve of, from blood transfusions to medications, and what life-saving measures you would like taken on your behalf, should you suddenly become incapacitated. Additionally, although you can specify a health care agent who in a Durable Power of Attorney, there is a separate form that can specify these wishes, which is what we encourage our clients to use when formulating an estate plan.
