Courtney Laughlin

Legal Assistant

Courtney Laughlin has been a resident of Horry County for ten years, since last residing in the small town of Hartsville, S.C., where she graduated Cum Laude from Coker College with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. After Courtney married and the couple had their first daughter together, Alia, Courtney dove back into the schoolbooks and graduated from HGTC at the top of her class, Summa Cum Laude, with an American Board Association Paralegal Certification. Upon graduating, Courtney knew she wanted to work in real estate because of her lifetime role model; her late aunt, Shirley Johnson, who worked as a real estate paralegal her entire life. Courtney spent many childhood summers going to the law office with her aunt, where the attorneys referred to her as “Secretary #3”. She is currently loving her role as the receptionist and post closer for our North Myrtle Beach office of GSLG. When frequently asked if she will ever consider becoming a real estate attorney, she states, “I never say never, but I am blessed and completely thrilled to work alongside some of the most amazing, amusing, and charismatic attorneys, paralegals, and assistants here at GSLG each and every day, and I don’t plan on changing that anytime soon.”
